Paula Abdul took the stage on American Idol Wednesday night and sang her new single “I’m Just Here For The Music”. It was quite a show, although I’m not sure she was actually singing while doing all those acrobatics.
CNN recently had an article about Paula Abdul’s fresh start after kicking her addiction to painkillers. There was a lot of rumors going to around about some slurred interviews and use of pain killers and she recently came forward stating that she was addicted to drugs.
She was quoted on CNN.com that for her “withdrawal [was] the worst thing. I was freezing cold, then sweating hot, then chattering and in so much pain, it was excruciating. But at my very core, I did not like existing the way I had been.”
Her painkillers were, in fact, not pills. Abdul wore a patch that delivered a pain medication about 80 times more potent than morphine. Her pains began with a cheerleading accident at age 17, but were compounded by later mishaps — including a stage accident in 1991, a car wreck in 1992 and a plane crash in 1993. – via CNN.com
This is a strong reminder how dangerous it can be for those who are trying to live with cronic pain. Ms. Abdul is just like the rest of us and due to the amount of pain she was having to deal with on a daily basis, she became addicted to the only thing that gave her relief.
If you are suffering from chronic back pain, please don’t let it get out of hand. Seek medical advice because with today’s amazing medical technology what was impossible a few years ago is now possible.

In this video Paula admits to being addicted to pain medication due to her RSD.
Fortunately for her, there are solutions to help her deal with her pain that do not involve drugs. Let me explain.
Up until recently, the etiology (cause) of Sympathetic Reflex Dystrophy (RSD) has remained a mystery. In many cases, RSD occurs after a relatively uncomplicated injury or surgery to a weight bearing joint. However, instead of the patient regaining full functionality of their injured joint, they enter into a post trauma pathology, RSD.
RSD is a chronic progressive disease characterized by severe pain, swelling and changes in the skin. The International Association for the Study of Pain has divided complex regional pain syndrome into two types based on the presence of nerve lesion following the injury.
• Type I, also known as reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD), Sudeck’s atrophy, reflex neurovascular dystrophy (RND) or algoneurodystrophy, does not have demonstrable nerve lesions.
• Type II, also known as causalgia, has evidence of obvious nerve damage.
My research suggests a link between RSD and abnormal proprioceptive signals being generated from one of two embryological foot types that I discovered (Medial Column foot Systems: An Innovative Tool for Improving Posture. JBMT, 2002). In many cases, using a type of proprioceptive therapy, termed Rothbart Proprioceptive Therapy, I have been able to reverse many of the disabling symptoms associated with RSD.
For those interested in learning about this drug-free option to permanently eliminate chronic muscle and joint pain, I invite you to read my book, Forever Free From Chronic Pain. Written for the chronic pain sufferer, it describes in easy to understand language my research that led to my discovery of a previously unknown cause of chronic muscle and joint pain. The book also explains the therapy I developed to eliminate chronic muscle and joint pain permanently without the use of drugs or surgery.
It was my own experience with chronic pain as well as that of my patients that led me to find a solution that has allowed myself and thousands of others get their life back.

Sure, Jim. We’ll contact you via email.
I have read the info that Dr. Rothbart has put out about his therapy or propioceptive therapy and how it alls starts from the feet and can help chronic pain sufferers.
Here is the almighty question that plagues many in the health, fitness, or medical world…………….if something really works for folks, how come everyone isn’t doing it?
You see, as a pain sufferer and contemplating getting this type of therapy done from another provider similiar to Dr. ROthbart, the question still remains in my head….will this work?
We as consumers are taking a chance, a hypothesis, that whatever diet, medical treatment, or in this case custom orthotic or alignment type system will help us.
But, the problem is, it doesn’t work for everyone and you don’t know that until you spend or waste your hard earn money.
This is why we have groups such as FDA or Medical Boards that scrutinize issues and determine if something is viable to the public.
There are numerous doctors out there like Dr. Rothbart and they sell many things to the public through there hard research or patented products or services, but in the end, you are taking a chance and when you do the research, folks like Dr. Rothbart are not world renowned as they say because if his propioceptive therapy or alignment type orthotic could help those 80 percent of the people with either the Rothbart issue or clubfoot issue, then how come you don’t hear about him all over MSN, CNN, Oprah, New York Times, or any other major American TV channels, newspapers, or well known celebrities or even rich folks endorsing his product…………..it’s because his system or therapy is considered by the major medical community as QUACK SCIENCE……….and there are no guarantees or that it’s been proven to work with everyone……………if it did, you would see him all over the world, especially in America.
I hope this helps people who are thinking about buying an alignnment orthotic system or therapy such as this in the future.
I will definatley be questioning my guy on this before I blow a lot of money.
